Koichi Tanaka

Hi readers!

Today, I am going to write about a person who has won a Nobel Prize, for that, I have chosen Koichi Tanaka, because he won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2002, for his development of soft desorption ionisation methods for mass spectrometric analyses of biological macromolecules.

Koichi is a Japanese engineer, was born in Toyama City, Japan. He attended Toyama Chubu High School in Toyama City. In 1983, he graduated from Tohoku University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. After graduation, he joined Shimadzu Corporation, where he engaged in the development of mass spectrometers.
